Fine; As New. See images and description. Syracuse University Lacrosse 1983 National Champions Vintage Beer Stein. That game – was one of the most exciting comebacks by ‘Cuse – or anyone – in lacrosse National Championship history. The Orange were down to a very talented Johns Hopkins team, 12-5, midway through the third quarter – but then inexplicably went on an inspired 10-1 goal run to win, 15-13. The variety of ways in which those goals were scored was the magic of them. Yes, I was there. As a spectator. For ‘Cuse, this game is second as a national championship probably only to the 2009 comeback win over Cornell. Ask anyone of sufficent years on the planet and in the sport about either of those games…inexplicable magic. Anyway: 6 9/16″ tall stein, 4 1/2″ bottom diameter, 3 7/16″ top diameter. Eggshell White ceramic with blue and orange imprinting. See images. Fine, technically As New, though this arrived new with some a thin web crack pattern under the glaze (see image). There is a Japanese aesthetic term for that…I think mono no aware. An apparently extraordinarily scarce piece of sports fan memorabilia. See all images. Ships in stout protection, of course. LOKsh
