“It’s Johnzzzzzzzzzzz” Johns Hopkins fan T-Shirt, large. Carolina Connection, Manufacturer. As New; never worn, though stored (carefully) in a T-Shirt box for perhaps 10 years now. Scarce; apparently a brief novelty shirt, intended to correct what is perceived – at least by JHU lacrosse fans (lacrosse being the only Division One sport played at the university, and very well at that) – as general-population rather benighted view that the school’s name is “John Hopkins” (no ‘S’). Some folks are awre of the terminal ‘S’, but some of those think there should be an apostrophe preceding it – which there is not. I was never so benighted as to think that stuff, but apparently a good number of folks do. In truth, JHU is named for philanthropist, entrepreneur and abolitionist Johns Hopkins (WITH an S, NO apostrophe), the school’s first benefactor in 1876. Let’s get it RIGHT, folks. A good way to help with that is by wearing this T-Shirt, which is apparently now very scarce. In my opinion, maybe it would have been MORE of a help if they had made it with eleven’S’s instead of eleven ‘Z’s. But what do I know. Maybe that’s why this JHU fan shirt can no longer be found… SPC1003
