A particularly colorful specimen of Verde Marinace Granite, polished, 4″x 4″x 1. Source: Brazil, circa 1990 via Mees Distributors, Cincinnati. 1 lb. 13.6 oz. Front face (image) is sawn, then polished. Sides are sawn, then honed. Reverse is sawn. Verde Marinace granite is a greenish polygenetic conglomerate with grey-pink cobbles in green-grey groundmass, transformed by metamorphism. This stone internationally currently has a ‘granite’ appellation, but may soon be classified as a Metaconglomerate. Eye-catching on the shelf. SPC1012
