Description
As New; worn in the 100th Anniversary Game by Maryland Terrapins player Michael Phipps, without damage. See scans. University of Maryland “Throwback” lacrosse jersey, worn in 100th game Between Maryland and Johns Hopkins on April 17, 2004 (Maryland’s ‘throwback’ jerseys for the game were from their 1973 National Championship year; Johns Hopkins’ were from the 1960s to early 1970s Joe Cowan era – see separate listing for an example of the latter); both were provided by STX / LaxWorld. Johns Hopkins, ranked #1 at the time of the game, defeated Maryland, who was ranked #3 at the time, 14-10. The game was played at Hopkins’ Homewood Field. All jerseys worn by players on both sides were auctioned after the game for charity benefit; the proceeds from the sale of the Maryland jerseys went to Ronald McDonald House. A one-of-a-kind piece of Maryland Terrapins lacrosse history. Ships in stout protection, of course. – LRBRCL
