GSA Hoard 1882 CC (Carson City) Morgan Silver Dollar, MS 63, NGC (Numismatic Guaranty Corporation, one of the three highly respected coin grading agencies) certified. See images. The 1882 CC mint mark Morgan Dollar was originally minted in the quantity of only 1,133,000 pieces, and of course far fewer survive, and even fewer in the higher grades such as this MS 63 example. Many of these were released by the GSA (Government Services Agency) in the late 1970s and early 1980s. How many remain in in their original GSA holder, as does this one, is not known.
